Gear up first workshop

Historic first workshop!
On Tuesday June the 29th Rick Koss, President and Founder of Gear Up and Project Manager Frank Soja conducted the first Gear Up workshop with students from Norquay School, Boys and Girls Club in the Point Douglas area. Since that time seven more groups have been hosted by Gear Up Coordinator Frank Soja. Participants receive some gently recycled rods and reels as well as a new Plano tackle box. These tackle boxes were generously donated by the Manitoba Marine Dealers Association
WORKSHOP REMODELING
The mural featuring a lake scene with Manitoba fish species identified throughout has been completed.
The artist is Anastasia Alexeyev, a student from Sisler High School. This remodeling was made possible by the kind donation of Cabela's and Kathy Kennedy of 92 Citi FM at their first Gear up fundraiser May 14th.
